1. Who we are

Paste Prompts is the data controller for personal data processed through pasteprompts.co.uk. You can reach us at any time via our contact page or at hello@pasteprompts.co.uk.

2. What we collect

Account data (email, display name, handle), content you publish, purchase and payout history, support messages, and basic usage analytics (pages viewed, device type, approximate country). Payment details are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers.

3. How we use it

To operate the marketplace, process purchases, pay creators, prevent fraud, provide support, send service emails, and improve the product. Our lawful bases are contract (running your account and purchases), legitimate interests (security, analytics, product improvement) and consent (advertising and non-essential cookies).

4. Cookies we use

Essential cookies keep you signed in, remember your cookie choice and secure checkout. These cannot be switched off.

Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) tell us anonymously which pages are useful. IP addresses are truncated and we do not use analytics data to identify individuals.

Advertising cookies are only loaded on our long-form guide articles. You can accept or decline non-essential cookies using the banner shown on your first visit, and change your mind at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

5. Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)

We may display third-party adverts supplied by Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

6. Sharing

We share data only with processors that help us run the service — hosting and database (Lovable Cloud/Supabase), payments (Stripe), analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (Google AdSense) — under appropriate data-processing agreements. We never sell your personal data. Some providers are outside the UK/EEA; transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, export, restrict or delete your data, withdraw consent, and object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights; we respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (https://ico.org.uk).

8. Retention

We keep account data while your account is active, and transaction records for six years to meet legal and accounting obligations. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.

9. Children

The service is not intended for anyone under 16 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We update this policy when our processing changes. Material changes are notified in-app; the effective date above always reflects the current version.
